Certification
There are currently no national or state certification policies for herbalists. Upon commencement of the Professional Herbalist Training Program, the school offers a certificate of completion. Certificates will be awarded based on the following criteria: satisfactory completion of all assignments and tests, a record of at least ninety percent attendance, and full payment of the tuition. The certificate does not declare a student as a “certified clinical herbalist.”
Students are strongly encouraged to complete both the PHT program and the Clinical Herbalist Training Program before they open a practice. Students are also encouraged to offer their service to the community and to practice without financial compensation, on their friends and family members prior to opening a professional practice.
