Alpine Meadow Botanical compounds are made with the highest quality herbs available. The herbs are prepared fresh when ever available. The herbs are also cultivated with organic or biodynamic methods, or are wildcrafted with care. The Chinese herbs used in the formulas are Good Manufacturing Process certified (gmp certified) and each batch of herbs are carefully tested and free of any chemicals, additives, or preservatives including sulphates and phosphates.

The extracts (tinctures) are prepared by hand and made with organic alcohol and spring water, and kosher vegetable glycerin. The extracts are carefully prepared in small batches, in glass jars, and are pressed by hand.

These formulas are time tested and have been used by many individuals with much success. However, the herbs work most effectively when they are combined with a healthy diet, exercise, adequate sleep, and healthy lifestyle.

Allerg-Ease

Contains: Yerba Santa (fresh, wild), Ambrosia (fresh, wild), Yerba Mansa (fresh, organic), Nettles leaf (fresh, organic), California Bayberry (fresh or dry, wild), Dandelion root (fresh, organic), and Echinacea (fresh, organic).

Allerg- Ease can be useful to relieve many of the symptoms that accompany allergies and hay fever, including the excessive production of mucus in the sinus, ears, nose, and throat. Allerg-Ease contains herbs that have an anti-histamine, anti-inflammatory, and an astringent effect. It stabilizes mast cells and reduces the swelling and inflammation of the mucus membranes. Additionally, it contains herbs that protect the liver from circulating antigens and allergens, thus reducing the inflammatory response.

Administration: Take 30-90 drops in water, every two to three hours, for the treatment of acute allergy symptoms. Or take 30-60 drops in water, up to four times a day, for mild to moderate severity of allergies.

Blues Be Gone

Contains: St. Johnswort (fresh, organic), Eleutherro (dry, organic or wild), Aralia Berry (fresh, wild), Lemon Balm (fresh, organic), Avena (Wild Oats)(fresh, organic), Gotu Kola (fresh or dry, organic) Ginkgo (fresh or dry, organic), and Lavender (dry, organic).

Blues Be Gone contains a combination of antidepressant herbs that have similar actions to many of the clinical pharmaceutical anti-depressants (MAO inhibitors and S.S.R.I), as well as euphoric properties. Blues Be Gone can be effective for mild forms of depression and for seasonal affective disorder (S.A.D.). Additionally, it contains herbal adaptogens and mild nervines, which modify the body's negative responses to stress. The adaptogen herbs enhance adrenal function, which can be helpful to treat depression due to depletion and chronic stress.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to three times a day.

Contraindications: This formula should be avoided by individuals already taking prescription antidepressants. This formula is not a replacement for Lithium. Consult a specialist for severe depression. Avoid using this product during pregnancy.

Bring on the Birth

Contains: Aralia root (fresh, wild), Black Cohosh (fresh or dry, organic), Blue Cohosh (fresh or dry, organic), Shepard's Purse (fresh, organic), Yarrow (fresh, wild or organic), and Damiana (dry, wild).

Bring on the Birth is a formula that can be used one week to two weeks prior to an expecting mother's due date. This formula contains many herbs that facilitate smooth labor and gently encourage uterine contractions. Some of the herbs also promote the expulsion of the placenta, as well as encourage milk let down. Many of the herbs help to prevent hemorrhage, although it is of course essential to seek the appropriate emergency medical attention if hemorrhaging occurs!

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Contraindications: This formula should not be consumed at any other time during pregnancy, unless advised by a medical specialist or midwife, as it may induce a miscarriage. This formula should be avoided if an expecting mother or the child in utero is having any serious health complications, including Hypertension (high blood pressure).

Children's Chill Out

Contains: Chamomile (fresh, organic), Lemon Balm (fresh, organic), Skullcap (fresh, organic), and Lavender (dry, organic).

Children's Chill Out contains a combination of herbs which help to calm and soothe the nervous system. Children's Chill Out can be used to reduce hyperactivity, restlessness, insomnia, anxiety, and nervousness. It is beneficial as well for most nerve related conditions that a child may experience, including teething. (Also, see the topical teething compound page. )

Additionally, many of the herbs reduce colic, digestive cramping, bloating, and stomach aches. It is also helpful for nervous digestive conditions.

Administration: The dose for children is one to three drops, per every five pounds of body weight. Some examples are as follows: if a child weighs 15 pounds, take 3-9 drops; if they weigh 20 pounds, take 4-12 drops; if they weigh 40 pounds, take 8-24 drops. The dose can be repeated up to every hour, until the desired result is achieved. Take up to four times a day.

Children's Cold Care

Contains: Echinacea (fresh, organic root), Spilanthes (fresh, organic), Elder Berry (fresh, wild), Yerba Santa (fresh, wild), Chamomile (fresh, organic), and Yarrow (fresh, wild).

Children's Cold Care contains a combination of herbs which have antibacterial, antiviral, and immune stimulating properties. In addition, many of the herbs in this formula can be used to help reduce or break a fever, as they have diaphoretic properties. Many of the herbs have expectorant actions which will aid in the expulsion and the reduction of mucus. Echinacea, Spilanthes, and Elder berry help to reduce lymphatic swelling and to reduce soreness in the throat. Children's Cold Care is an all purpose formula which can be used to treat acute viral and bacterial infections. It may be used as an adjunct therapy if a child is consuming antibiotics.

Contraindications: If a cold continues for more than five to seven days, please seek appropriate medical treatment.

Children's Tummy Relief

Contains: Anise (dry, organic), Fennel (fresh, organic), Peppermint (fresh, organic), Chamomile (fresh, organic), and Lemon Balm (fresh, organic).

Children's Tummy Relief contains a combination of carminative herbs which are helpful to reduce colic, indigestion, gas, and bloating. This combination can be beneficial for the treatment of constipation and food related digestive sensitivity. It can be used as well for nerve related digestive problems.

Chill Out

Contains: Wild Oats (fresh, organic), Lemon balm (fresh, organic), St. Johnswort (fresh, organic), Chamomile (fresh, organic), Skullcap (fresh, organic), and Passionflower (fresh or dry, organic).

Chill Out compound contains a combination of nervine herbs that relax and soothe the nervous system. Chill Out is indicated for a person who experiences nervousness, anxiety, mild depression, insomnia, irritability, twitching, or for anyone experiencing withdrawals from quitting caffeine, cigarettes, or recreational drugs.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Contraindications: Consult health care practitioner if taking antidepressant medications.

Chill Out Supreme

Contains: Contains: Valerian (fresh, organic), California poppy (fresh, organic), Passion flower (fresh or dry, organic), Skullcap (fresh, organic), Motherwort (fresh, organic), Blue Vervain (fresh, organic or wild), and Wild Lettuce (fresh, organic or wild).

Chill Out Supreme contains a combination of potent herbal nervines and analgesics (pain reducers). Chill Out Supreme compound is indicated for those who experience insomnia, muscular spasms, cramping, neuralgia, headaches, or the pain that results from passing kidney stones or gall stones. It is also a beneficial treatment for menstrual cramping and digestive cramping.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, as needed, up to three times a day.

Contraindications: Avoid taking this compound with other pain medications or alcohol. Avoid operating heavy machinery.

Crampbark Compound

Contains: Black Haw (dry, wild), Cramp bark (dry, wild), Cinnamon (dry, wild), Wild Yam (dry, wild), Skullcap (fresh, organic), and Orange Peel (dry, organic), in a base of organic alcohol, spring water, and raw honey.

Crampbark Compound is an antispasmodic elixir, useful in the treatment of menstrual cramps, digestive cramps, and for muscular spasms. It contains a combination of antispasmodic herbs; as well as haemostatic herbs which help to prevent excessive menstrual flow. Crampbark Compound also increases circulation to the reproductive and digestive organs. It works effectively and it tastes good too.

Administration: Take 30-90 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Note: Silk Tassel Extract is recommended for more severe forms of smooth muscle cramping. Pedicularis Extract is recommended for skeletal muscle cramping or spasms.

Digestive Bitters

Contains: Turmeric (fresh, organic), Gentian (dry, organic), Fennel (fresh, organic), Anise (dry, organic), Licorice (dry, organic), Cardamom (dry, organic), Orange Peel (dry, organic), Ginger (fresh, organic), and Cinnamon (dry, organic).

A healthy digestive system is one of the primary foundations of optimal health. If one's food is not properly digested and assimilated, the cells that compose the body do not receive adequate nutrients, nor are the waste products from the cells metabolized and excreted as efficiently.

Digestive Bitters stimulate the secretion of hydrochloric acid, bile, and enzymes, from the stomach, liver, and gallbladder. As a result, carbohydrate, fat, and protein digestion are improved. Digestive Bitters can be most beneficial when consumed fifteen to thirty minutes prior to a meal. They can also be taken as an aperitif to quell nausea and to reduce flatulence and bloating. Digestive Bitters can be beneficial for anyone who experiences any of the following symptoms or conditions: poor digestion of carbohydrates, fats, or proteins, gas, bloating, digestive cramping, nausea after consuming a meal, and constipation. It can be beneficial for people who have had their gallbladder removed. It stimulates the digestive processes of people who are recovering from an illness, anorexia or long term nervous system disorders. It can be useful to reduce symptoms associated with food bingeing or following excess alcohol consumption.

Digestive Bitters also aid with detoxification because they stimulate the flow of bile, which is one of the methods the body uses to release toxins. One can take Digestive Bitters to assist recovery following a\both digestive infections or hepatitis. Bitters can also benefit people with the following skin conditions: acne, psoriasis, and eczema.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to three times daily. It is ideal to consume bitters fifteen to twenty minutes prior to meals, however, they can also be consumed just before or after a meal.

Contraindications: Avoid consuming digestive bitters if you have a digestive ulcer, a hiatal hernia, or heartburn.

Feelin' Sexy

Contains: Damiana (dry, wild), Eleutherro (Siberian Ginseng)(dry, organic), Cinnamon (dry, organic), Licorice (dry, organic), Ginger (fresh, organic), Orange Peel (dry, organic), and Rose Petals (dry, organic), infused in brandy with an organic chocolate syrup base.

Feelin' Sexy can be used on an intimate level with partners or by individuals. Feelin' Sexy contains many herbs that improve the blood flow to the genitalia (of both men and women), enhancing sexual sensation and encouraging sexual arousal. If one wants to add some spice and romance into their relationship or to increase one's sexual sensation, take some Feelin' Sexy. Feelin' Sexy is also great for melting social barriers at parties.

Administration: Take 30-60, up to three times daily.

Contraindications: Do not consume Feelin' Sexy during pregnancy. Avoid using this product with heavy menstrual bleeding.

Female Hormone Balancer

Contains: Vitex (dry, organic), Eleutherro (Siberian Ginseng)(dry, organic), Schisandra (dry, organic or gmp certified), White Peony (dry, gmp certified), Dandelion (fresh, organic), Nettles (fresh, organic), Licorice (dry, organic), Black Cohosh (fresh or dry, organic), Bupleurum (dry, organic or gmp certified), and Chinese Ligusticum (dry, cured, gmp certified).

Female Hormone Balancer contains a combination of herbs that correct hormone imbalances. As a tonic, this compound is very beneficial in the treatment of PMS syndrome, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, prolapsed uterus, and as a tonic to the structure of the reproductive organs. Female Hormone Balancer works most effectively if it is consumed on a daily basis except during the menstrual cycle.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to three times daily. Use this compound daily, except during menstruation.

Contraindications: Do not consume during pregnancy. Take a brake from this product during menstruation.

First Aid Formula

Contains: St. Johnswort (fresh, organic), Yarrow (fresh, wild), Calendula (fresh, organic), Chamomile (fresh, organic), Comfrey (fresh, organic), Arnica (fresh, wild), and Wild Oats (fresh, organic).

The First Aid Formula contains herbs which help to reduce both physical and emotional trauma which follows an accident, injury, or minor surgery. Many of the herbs in this formula reduce inflammation and swelling. Most of the herbs encourage tissue and capillary regeneration, as well as prevent infection and scarring. Some of the herbs have haemostatic properties which help to prevent hemorrhage. First Aid Formula can be used internally to treat bruises, sprains, strains, broken bones, abrasions, burns, overworked, tired or injured muscles or joints. It is a great addition for a first aid kit. If one needs a longer term treatment for healing broken bones or following surgery, we recommend using Muscle and Joint Support.

Administration: Take 15-60 drops in water, up to four times daily. It can be applied topically, but we do not recommend using it on areas with broken skin.

Contraindications: Do not use the First Aid Formula (or use with caution) one week prior to surgery and one week following surgery, as the Arnica may affect the ability for the blood to clot as efficiently.

Fung-Away

Contains: Usnea (fresh or dry, wild), Oregon Grape, (fresh or dry, wild), Pao D'Arco (dry, wild), Spilanthes (fresh, organic), Thyme (fresh or dry, organic), Oregano (fresh, organic), and Rosemary (fresh, organic).

Fung-Away contains many natural anti-fungal and anti-bacterial herbs. This compound is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections, including Candida yeast overgrowth, vaginal infections, damp heat conditions, ringworm, and athlete's foot. This compound can also be used topically and internally to treat fungal infections of the skin.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Gotu Kola Supreme

Contains: Ginkgo (fresh, organic), Gotu Kola (fresh or dry, organic), Rosemary (fresh, organic), Hawthorne berries (fresh, organic), Calendula (fresh, organic), Ginger (fresh, organic), and Prickly Ash (dry, wild).

Gotu Kola Supreme contains a combination of herbs that are highly beneficial for improving blood circulation. In addition, it contains herbs that improve the integrity of the blood vessels and the connective tissues. Gotu Kola Supreme is indicated when a person experiences poor circulation, varicose veins, connective tissue weakness, bruising, poor eyesight, memory problems, cerebral anoxia, and migraine headaches. It is gently energizing and stimulating.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to three times daily.

Contraindications: Avoid taking Gotu Kola Supreme two weeks before and after surgery. Also, avoid taking this compound with any blood thinning medications or aspirin. This compound should be avoided by any individual with any blood clotting disorders.

Gut Bugs Be Gone

Contains: Sweet Annie (fresh or dry, organic), Coptis (dry, gmp certified), Oregon Grape (fresh or dry, wild), Turmeric (fresh, organic), Fennel (fresh, organic), Licorice (dry, organic), Black Walnut (dry, wild), Thyme (fresh or dry, organic), Oregano (fresh, organic), Lomatium (dry, wild), Quassia (dry, wild), Yellow dock (fresh, organic), Ginger (fresh, organic), and Clove (dry, organic).

Gut Bugs Be Gone can be used to prevent food and water born illnesses when traveling abroad, backpacking, or upon exposure to harmful bacteria, virus, or protozoa. It is also effective for people who suffer from acute or chronic digestive infections.

Gut Bugs Be Gone contains potent anti-protazoal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and antifungal herbs. Additionally, it contains carminatives, which can reduce some of the painful cramping that often accompanies digestive infections. After completing a treatment with this compound, we highly recommend to follow up with probiotics to promote the recolonization of the beneficial digestive flora.

We also suggest taking the Digestive Bitters compound to reestablish proper digestive secretions. Silk Tassel extract is highly effective for severe digestive cramping.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Herbal Diuretic Aid

Contains: Nettles root (fresh, organic), Parsley root (dry, organic), Dandelion (fresh, organic), Cleavers (fresh, wild), Stone root (dry, wild), Horsetail (fresh, wild), and Gravel root (dry, wild).

Herbal Diuretic Aid can be used to reduce edema (swelling due to water retention) as well as water related weight gain. Herbal Diuretic Aid can be used to reduce swelling of the eyelids, hands, feet, ankles, and to reduce pre-menstrual breast tenderness and swelling. Unlike many prescription diuretics, herbal diuretics improve the kidney's elimination of both excess water and sodium without leaching other beneficial minerals. In fact, many herbal diuretics contain potassium, as well as many other valuable trace minerals. Herbal Diuretic Aid can be valuable support for individuals with sodium related high blood pressure conditions. Additionally, Herbal Diuretic Aid assists in removing toxins or waste products from the kidneys. It can be used to help treat skin conditions such as eczema, acne, and psoriasis. Herbal Diuretic Aid helps to flush the kidneys and it is beneficial in both the prevention and treatment of kidney stones.

Herp-Ease is a formula which can be used for the treatment of herpes and shingles. One can consume small frequent doses at the first sign of a herpes outbreak or as a preventative measure at times when one is susceptible to outbreaks. It contains both antiviral and immune stimulating herbs. Additionally, it contains many nervines which help to reduce the pain and nerve hypersensitivity that often accompany the herpes or shingles outbreak.

Administration: Take 30-60 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Contraindications: Discontinue if a rash occurs. Although it is unusual, the rash can be due to the Lomatium.

HPV and Cervical Dysplasia Support

Contains: Reishi mushroom (dry, gmp certified), Astragalus (fresh or dry, organic), Calendula (fresh, organic), Gotu Kola (fresh or dry, organic), Oregon Grape (fresh or dry, organic), Chinese Scutellaria Baikal (dry, gmp certified), Saw Palmetto (dry, organic or wild), Lomatium (fresh or dry, wild), and Wild Indigo (dry, wild).

HPV and Cervical Dysplasia Support can be used in the treatment and prevention of HPV (human papilloma virus) which is one of the most common causes of cervical dysplasia. HPV and Cervical Dysplasia Support contains antiviral herbs, as well as herbs which enhance the immune system. The immune strengthening herbs improve the body's ability to ward off viral infections, thus reducing one's susceptibility to HPV. Additionally, many herbs in the formula improve the integrity and the quality of the cells in the reproductive tissue and including the cervix.

Administration for prevention: Take 30-60 drops in water, one to two times daily.

Administration for treatment of HPV or dysplasia: Take 30-60 drops in water, three times daily.

Contraindications: Do not use during pregnancy or lactation. Discontinue using if a rash occurs.

Humboldt Hack-Away

Contains: Usnea (fresh or dry, wild), Balsam Root (fresh, wild), Aralia (fresh, wild), Yerba Santa (fresh or dry, wild), Marshmallow (fresh, organic), Licorice (dry, organic), Mullein (fresh, organic), Osha (fresh or dry, organic or wild), Lomatium (fresh or dry, organic or wild), and Thyme (fresh or dry, organic).

Humboldt Hack-Away contains anti-viral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal herbs which inhibit the growth of micro-organisms in the upper and lower respiratory tract. Many of the herbs in this formula increase the white blood cell count, which enhance the body's ability to ward off infection. Additionally, this compound contains many soothing demulcent and expectorant herbs. Humboldt Hack-Away is recommended as a primary or an adjunct treatment for the following conditions: bronchitis (acute and chronic), laryngitis, lingering coughs, respiratory congestion, colds, flu and other bronchial afflictions. Humboldt Hack-Away Cough Syrup has the same properties but it also contains honey.

Administration: Take 30-90 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Administration of Humboldt Hack-Away Syrup: Take up to one teaspoon, three to four times a day.

Immune Boost

Contains: Echinacea (fresh, organic), Oregon Grape (fresh or dry, wild), Usnea (fresh or dry, wild), Spilanthes (fresh, organic), Licorice (dry, organic), Calendula (fresh, organic), Osha (fresh or dry, organic or wild), Lomatium (fresh or dry, wild), and Baptisia (dry, wild).

Immune Boost is an all purpose immune stimulant formula which is useful for treating acute viral and bacterial infections. It contains anti-viral herbs, which address a broad spectrum of viral conditions including the following: colds, flu, upper and lower respiratory infections, and herpes. It also contains antibacterial and anti-fungal herbs, which directly address the following microbes: Staph, Strep, Chlamydia, E Coli, Salmonella, and Candida. In addition, it contains many herbs that stimulate white blood cells, also known as the innate immune system. Immune Boost could be used before and after vaccinations to enhance the immune response. *Note, Immune Boost is one of the only acute immune formulas that does not contain the endangered plant Golden Seal.

Administration: Take 30-90 drops in water, up to five times daily.

Immune and Vitality Elixir

Contains: Astragalus (fresh or dry, organic), Reishi (dry, organic or gmp certified), Eleutherro (dry, organic), Schisandra (dry, organic or gmp certified), Poria (dry, gmp certified), Ashwaganda (fresh, organic), Pau D'Arco (dry, carefully harvested), Ligustrum Berry (dry, gmp certified), Codenopsis (dry, organic or gmp certified), Rehmannia (dry, prepared, gmp certified), and Don Quai (dry, prepared, gmp certified), in an a base of organic alcohol, spring water, and raw honey.

Immune and Vitality Elixir contains many adaptogen herbs. When a person consumes adaptogen herbs on a regular basis (as a tonic), they will likely notice increased resistance to infections and stress, as well as an increase in energy, strength, and stamina. Many people experience increased mental acuity, improved well being, and a deep sense of calmness from taking this formula on a regular basis. Others notice enhanced libido.

Inflam-Aid

Contains: Jamaican Dogwood (dry, wild), White Willow (fresh or dry, wild), St. Johnswort (fresh, organic or wild), Chamomile (fresh, organic) Pedicularis (fresh, wild), and Meadowsweet (fresh or dry, organic).

This formula contains many valuable anti-inflammatory herbs which reduce the pain of arthritis, joint swelling, muscular swelling, and headaches. Inflam-Aid is an herbal alternative to ibuprofen and aspirin; and it does not cause damage to the liver and kidneys like many of the over the counter anti-inflammatory medications. Inflam-Aid can be used to reduce and manage nerve pain and swelling. It can be useful to treat flare-ups of carpal tunnel, tendonitis, joint pain, and for pain associated with a spinal misalignment. It is also beneficial to reduce smooth muscle and skeletal muscle spasms, thus reducing menstrual cramping, intestinal cramping, muscle spasms, tension headaches, migraines, and sciatic pain. Many of the herbs contained in Inflam-Aid can be useful to reduce fever.

Administration: Take 30-90 drops in water, up to four times daily.

Caution: Due to the content of the Jamaican Dogwood, use caution when operating heavy machinery.

Lymph Flow

Contains: Echinacea (fresh, organic), Red root (fresh, wild), Burdock (fresh, organic), Cleavers (fresh, wild), Calendula (fresh, organic), Figwort (fresh, wild), and Prickly Ash (dry, wild).

Lymph Flow contains herbs that improve the circulation of blood through the lymph, as well as herbs that tighten and astringe the lymphatic tissue. Lymph Flow is indicated for the treatment of swollen lymph in the throat, armpit, and groin region, splenic swelling, poor lymphatic drainage, portal congestion, varicose veins, boils, cysts, ovarian cysts, and benign breast cysts.
